Some of my drawings and paintings...
I’ll be showing a couple of drawings at the show: studies of head with garment/turban, and perhaps a painting. I have studied under Jan Cato Bøttger, the head master of Christiania friAkademi, for some years, at times only in the evenings, and in periods, when possible, part- or full time. It started with evening classes back when I was 14 or 15, back in the early 80’s. I remember coming home to my mother after the first evening with a study of a beautiful muscular mans legs and behind. She was flabbergasted, to say the least. I simply replied “- but mum, this is art”.
